"would not stay there in summer for 129,00"
simple room with 2 small single beds, shower and toilet. Very sober for a hotel. The breakfast was perfect and included in price. The rate I paid was the only reason to stay here because there was hardly anybody else because this is a typical summer tourist place .Most of the village was closed .

"Feels like coming home"
Great hotel, a little bit retro, but that is what give us the feeling "coming home". An excellent chef made us an "menu of the chef" and it was a real chef! the name "brasserie" is underetimated. with this kind of food it reserve to carry the name "Top restaurant". I hope they will restore the same sfere in the new hotel.

"Great venue"
I stayed 1 night and loved the location. 30 minutes walk from the beach. The room was great. I got my relax moment, which is just what I needed. When the key to my room did not fit I got another room. Service was friendly.

"Basic"
The room and bathroom was very small but clean. Few amenities. Good WiFi. Good breakfast. The restaurant is dated, the carpet with all its dirty spots was not appealing to our appetite. Dogs are welcome. Friendly staff and nice location: within walking distance to the small town of Renesse and within biking distance to the beach. Only for not too demanding people...

"Very basic room, bathroom needs updating"
My room was rather small with few amenities, the bathroom was outdated. Reception staff were not all friendly (with exception of evening staff). Restaurant was nice though. Easy parking but not so close to the beach. About 5 min by car. Parking in Renesse city centre very difficult.

Renesse and Surroundings

Culture and nature

Zeeland offers a host of possibilities for an informative excursion. Exactly what happened on 1 February 1953 during the flood disaster in Zeeland, West-Brabant and the Zuid-Hollands islands, is described extensively in the Watersnoodmuseum in Ouwerkerk. Museumhaven Zeeland is a museum in two locations in Zierikzee. There’s a collection of historic ships outdoors at the Oude Haven. The second location is the Stads- en Commerciewerf (city and commercial wharf) on Vissersdijk, where the ships are restored. At Brusea, Monumentale Visserswoning en Visserijmuseum (fisherman’s home and fishing museum) in Bruinisse, you will learn everything about the life of a Zeeland mussel – from its freedom at sea to its end in a mussel pan.

Go for a walk

For active ramblers the Hampshire Hotel – Renesse reception desk has no fewer than 27 free walking routes available. Many of these routes lead through dunes and forests, and if you’re lucky you might encounter seals during a walk along the coastline, resting on a sandbank. If you’re a member of the Dutch “Natuurmonumenten” natural heritage society, you can also take a look at one of the many protected natural areas in the vicinity.
